DAY 2: Snowy Adventures

Breakfast: Start your day with a hearty breakfast at Poppy’s, known for its delicious pastries and cozy atmosphere.

Activity: Hit the slopes at Aspen Mountain or Snowmass for an exhilarating day of skiing or snowboarding.

Lunch: Warm up with a comforting bowl of soup or a gourmet sandwich at Bonnie’s on the mountain.

Activity: If you’re up for a drive, you can check out Glenwood Hot Springs or Iron Mountain Hot Springs, just 1 hour from Aspen. This would also be a great option when you’re driving to or from Aspen if you’re flying in and out of Denver.

Dinner: For a relaxed yet elegant dining experience, visit White House Tavern. Their rotisserie chicken is a must-try!

Activity: Wrap up your day with a visit to the Aspen Ice Garden for some ice skating fun.

DAY 3: Leisure and Local Culture

Breakfast: Enjoy a leisurely brunch at Bear Den Aspen, known for its delightful baked goods and specialty coffees.

Activity: Try snowshoeing or cross country skiing at the Aspen Nordic Center! You can rent what you need from there and learn about trail systems nearby. The Aspen Snowmass Nordic Trail System has more than 60 miles of free cross-country ski and snowshoe trails that connect the communities of Aspen, Snowmass and Basalt! This can be a much more peaceful and cheap alternative to downhill skiing if you want to avoid the crowds while still experiencing the beauty of Aspen!

Lunch: Treat yourself to a delicious meal at Meat & Cheese, a restaurant and farm shop with a focus on fresh, local ingredients. Activity: Spend the morning exploring the Aspen Art Museum or browse the charming boutiques downtown.

Activity: Book a snowmobiling tour to the iconic Maroon Bells! This is a unique and stunning way to experience the most photographed spot in Colorado.

Dinner: End your trip with a memorable dinner at Cache Cache, a French-American bistro known for its elegant ambiance and exquisite cuisine.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

• Be sure to check out the Aspen Snowmass Ski Resort’s calendar for special winter events like Ullr Nights or the X Games.

• Don’t miss the enchanting Aspen Tree Lighting event if you’re visiting in early December.

Aspen in winter is a dreamy wonderland with its blend of outdoor fun, luxurious stays, and vibrant dining scene. Enjoy your perfect winter getaway!
